Booked Captain Darrell for my son’s 10th birthday fishing trip, and it did not disappoint. We went from “Are we there yet?” to “Look how big this is!” in no time. The captain had us on huge stripers so quickly, it almost didn’t seem real. My son even started wondering how fish that size could exist in the lake. His ability to find fish is seriously impressive—he knows exactly where to go and how to get you hooked up. By the end of the trip, my son was already talking about becoming a professional fisherman someday. It was one of those experiences we’ll be talking about for years. Fair warning—you’ll head home smelling like fish and success, and your kid will be telling everyone about the epic day on the water. We’re already planning our next trip. Captain Darrell definitely knows how to deliver an unforgettable day chasing big stripers.

My son and I had an excellent time with Captain Darrell. He is very knowledgeable about the best fishing spots and really knows where to go on Lake Lanier. Whenever we hooked a fish, he did a great job coaching us on how to fight it and safely bring it into the boat. We will definitely be reaching out to him again the next time we go fishing on Lake Lanier.

My son and I had a fantastic morning on Lake Lanier with Captain Redd. We caught stripers for the first time at several different spots around the lake and had an incredible experience. Along the way, we also learned a lot from Captain Redd about the fish and the techniques involved. It was definitely a highlight of our summer, and we highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Redd!
